On Thursday, July 7, we enjoyed some first time patrons...WELCOME and bring your friends! And...see below...we enjoyed visiting with our regular patrons!
It was another exciting, although short, week on the bookmobile! This week, we named TWO Bookmobile Ambassadors, Emily and Ben. During the first week Emily and Ben were the only students to visit the bookmobile at their stops in McRae and Stoney Point. Since then, Emily and Ben have been working hard....recruiting more patrons from their respective areas. Now, we have 18-20 patrons each week at both McRae and Stoney Point. WAY TO GO Emily and Ben. To reward them for their efforts, Emily and Ben received bookmobile t-shirts that match the ones worn each day by our bookmobile personnel. Keep up the good work, ambassadors!
Ms. Nona Richey was a special guest on the bookmobile on Thursday, June 30. She read Watermelon Wishes, by Lisa Moser, to our patrons and served cold, delicious watermelon! YUM! It was a refreshing treat on a HOT day! When the BOYS arrived...a seed spitting contest began!!! Not to be outdone, the girls joined right in on the fun. Check out the captions to find two important notes...our #1 patrons (most times visited) AND one of our bookmobile ambassadors! We were excited, this week, to have some brand new, first-time bookmobile patrons on board. We are ALWAYS excited to see repeat customers, as well!
Our TERRIFIC bus driver, Ms. Peggy, had a special visitor on the bookmobile this week...her grandson, Landon. THANKS, Ms. Peggy for encouraging young Landon to enjoy BOOKS!
Ms. Jessie Bell joined us on the bookmobile on Wednesday, June 29. She taught our patrons how to make origami animals. As you can see by the looks on their faces, they enjoyed the task and produced some OUTSTANDING origami animals. THANK YOU, Ms. Bell for investing your summer time in our Beebe students. YOU are a difference maker!
